The prices of the puppies will range depending on European percentage. The range is between $2,000-$3,500 and full or limited AKC registration is offered.

We do offer shipping.  Air shipping is available.  We use a company out of Missouri, called Ozark Jet a Pet/Airbound Pets that handles booking the flights and getting the puppies to the airport.  They will fly out of St. Louis airport or Kansas City in Missouri.  Most puppies can ship to any major airport in the United States for around $360-$500.  

Pick up here at Sunrise Bassets is the preferred option.

Every puppy that leaves us will come with a health certificate from our vet. They will also have 30 days of free insurance through AKC that we provide at no additional cost to the buyers. If that insurance is not activated before your vet visit our health guarantee is voided. *** Breeder guarantees said puppy to be free of all communicable diseases for a period of five (5) days from the date of transfer to Buyer. Breeder also guarantees puppy to be free from life threatening congenital disorders up until puppy reaches 6 months of age. Any medical condition must be proven and documented by 2 licensed veterinarians. Buyer agrees to take said puppy to a licensed

veterinarian for examination within one week from date of transfer of puppy from breeder to buyer.

Guarantee is null and void if buyer does not follow agreement for vet exam. Buyer must notify breeder within 48 hours of unsatisfactory findings on puppy’s Veterinary health exam. We reserve the right to have the diagnosis verified by our personal veterinarian or veterinarian of our choice and/or require you to have specific test run on the puppy to verify the diagnosis. Breeder will not accept any responsibility for injury during transportation or once received by Buyer, reactions to vaccines/medications, flea/tick preparations, or disorders caused by environmental factors,

parasites/bacteria, allergies, thyroid, or autoimmune diseases. In the unlikely event of serious life threatening illness during the first 6 months of the puppy's life, the breeder is NOT responsible for medical bills, but would consider replacing the puppy only if the life threatening condition was genetic or congenital. If puppy has a serious life threatening illness during the guarantee time period, the puppy may eventually be replaced when another one comes available, and only after the puppy and all the papers have been returned to us. Negotiation between the Buyer and Breeder will determine the appropriate course of action.****

It does NOT include giardia, coccidia and kennel cough which are caused by bacteria and not life-

threatening.

When you decide that you want to purchase a puppy, we will ask for a $400 non refundable deposit to hold your puppy. All deposits are non refundable so please make sure you are ready for a puppy. This deposit does go toward the final payment.  We accept check , certified check, Walmart money gram, Post Office money order, cash or money order for the deposit. The balance will be due at pick up will be cash or money order. If your puppy is flying, the balance as well as flight costs will be due in the form of check or money order 1 week before the scheduled flight (puppy will be 7 weeks).  If payment is not received, the flight will be rescheduled.  Sunrise Bassets does not accept PayPal or credit card payments. Puppies must be paid for in full before they leave our care. If payment is not received by week 7 for puppy being shipped we reserve the right to sell the dog to another client on the waitlist or to be picked up and paid in full by week 8.

Yes, our dogs have all undergone genetic testing by Paw Print Genetics. They are tested for:  Primary Open Angle Glaucoma (Basset Hound Type), Severe Combined Immunodeficiency Disease, X-Linked (Basset Hound Type), and Thrombopathia (Basset Hound Type).  All of our dogs are cleared and documentation can be provided.
